A Window Watcher

I sit by my window
Watching the world go by.
People walking dogs, kids laughing,
Snow falling from the sky.

I long to be with them
But I know that’s not meant to be.
I get so much pleasure
From all the wonderful things I see.

If you see a window watcher
Wave hello and smile their way.
That window watcher may be me
And a smile will surely make my day.
