Comfort in You

I was tired and worn at the end of the day;

then your warm message came my way.

I thought my patience was at an end,

but I found comfort in your kindness, dear friend.

It’s good to know that along life’s road,

there’s someone there to lighten the load.

 Just knowing you’re there to lend an ear,

 renews my cup of joy and cheer.

Perhaps there’s nothing that time can’t mend,

but my heart finds hope in yours, dear friend.
