Scattering reflections
seal the feet in
concrete sands of time.
Stumbling forward
i collapse
into the puddle
of my crimson copper tears.
Sliding with cloudy mists
stealing my fears
of years.
Supple is their grasp
pulling body in tow
to immortality
below.
Crawling on
sediment thick,
layered,
emotions on hold
a split second
love cherished
disappears
deep
into crevices
worth their weight in gold.
Never seen
they slither away,
coming back to haunt
another dark day. †††
