Catching Pigs

Friday, March 29th, 2013

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.

One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.

He asked: “Do you know how to catch wild pigs?”

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said that it was no joke. “You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn.

“When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. “They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. “The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.”

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America .

The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths:

There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government “help” is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America , you might want to send this on to your friends.

If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably delete this email.

But, God help us all when the gate slams shut!

Quote of the Week
‘I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.’

The Travesty Of the Trillion Dollar Bailout

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

I’m against the $85 Billion bailout of AIG, as well as the $700 Billion for the rest of the selfish crooks! Instead, I’m in favor of giving the $85,000,000,000 to America in a “We Deserve It” Dividend.

To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.  Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child.  I figure there’s about 200,000,000 adults 18 and older. Dividing 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.

Here’s my plan.  Give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It” Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.  So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.  Every individual 18+ would pay $127,500.00 in taxes (which returns $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam!). But it also means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.  Think about it:

A husband and wife has $595,000.   What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family? Pay off your mortgage?  Housing crisis solved. Repay college loans?  What a great boost to new graduates.  Put away money for college?  Why not?  Open a saving account at a bank and help create loan money for mortgages and  entrepreneurs.  Buy a new car (create jobs); invest in the market (capital drives growth); pay for your parent’s medical insurance; there’s lots and lots of things an extra $297,500 might improve, don’t you think?

If we’re going to re-distribute wealth, let’s really do it, instead of trickling out a puny $1000 ( “buy your vote” ) economic incentive being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG – liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here’s my rationale. We deserve this money; AIG doesn’t. You may think this is a crazy idea that’ll never work.  But just imagine the “We Deserve It” Coast-To-Coast Block Parties! Can you say,  “Economic Boom?”

I trust my fellow adult Americans to use their portion of the $85 Billion (remember, my plan actually costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned in taxes to Uncle Sam) to boost the economy much more than Congress or the Executive Branch ever could!  Who’s with me?

“We The People”

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

It is not to any small measure that our founding fathers started out with these three words, our constitution does not start with “we the president”, “we the Congress” or “we the supreme court”. They had the foresight to relegate the lives of ourselves to ourselves, not to the bureaucratic bullshit that has become our Government.

Things like “homeland security” is likening to stealing the very liberties our fathers fought with their lives, just for the sake of future generations. We must stand up for all that is ours. “we the people in order to form a more Perfect union”. We must not allow the forces of bullshit to steal away our Liberties!! Does not the constitution guarantee “life liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”!!?

We the people must wake up from our slumber or wake up one day with the Yoke of oppression around our necks. “wake up America”!!!!!! Remember it is your patriotic duty to uphold our constitution and the Declaration of independence. do not suffer fools quietly!!!!!

Support our troops!! Not the bullshit war they are fighting!!!! or the Bullshit politics that are scarier than any could possible believe. I am a patriot, I will fight for our rights as long as we have breath in our Lungs and desire to be free!!

we the people
